RICHARDSON, Texas – Lone Star Conference officials announced Monday that Austin Beck has been named LSC Hitter of the Week for the second consecutive week.

A redshirt senior pursuing his MBA, Beck batted .563 (9 for 16) with two doubles, nine RBIs and eight stolen bases in as many attempts, leading ASU to a series win over the Oklahoma Christian Eagles.

The Allen native scored six runs, drew one walk and was hit by a pitch. Beck, who also earned National Hitter of the Week honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, has recorded a hit in 13 of 14 games this season. He is batting .491 and leads the conference in hits (28), RBIs (28), doubles (10), runs scored (24) and stolen bases (15).

Beck and the Rams return to action Friday, Feb. 27, opening a road series against the St. Mary's Rattlers in San Antonio. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
