Belles Host West Texas A&M for Alzheimer's Awareness

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's basketball team will host West Texas A&M for the Alzheimer's Awareness game on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Stephens Arena in the Junell Center.

The Alzheimer's Awareness game is a joint effort between Angelo State and West Texas A&M. Belle head coach Sally Walling Brook's father, Dennis Walling, passed away this past August after battling the disease. He coached at West Texas A&M from 1967 to 1973 and won 82 games for the Buffs.

Both schools will hold an Alzheimer's Awareness night with money raised through t-shirt sales and the Walk to Remember with proceeds to go to the Pat Summitt Foundation. The Walk to Remember will feature people from the community that have been sponsored to walk for four minutes during the game. West Texas A&M will hold its Alzheimer's Awareness night on Saturday, Feb. 2.
