Rambelles Prepare For ENMU and No. 16 West Texas A&M

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State Belle basketball team returns home to the Junell Center as the Belles host the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds on Thursday, February 6, and the West Texas A&M Buffs on Saturday, February 8.
The Belles are 12-6 overall and 9-5 in conference play.

Series Matchup:
The last time that the Greyhounds and Belles played each other was on January 19, 2020, where the Belles defeated the Greyhounds in Portales, New Mexico, 70-60. De'Anira Moore led the Belles offense against the Greyhounds, scoring 21 points against Eastern New Mexico, shooting 6-14 from the field and 9-10 from the free throw line. Moore led the Belles defense along with Catara Samuel, with Moore grabbing 14 defensive rebounds out of 15 total rebounds, and Samuel grabbed seven defensive rebounds as well.
 
The last time that the Buffs and Belles played each other was on January 16, 2020, where the Buffs defeated Angelo State in Canyon, Texas, 79-58. The Belles offense were led by Sawyer Lloyd and Moore with each Belle scoring 15 points apiece. Lloyd shot 6-14 from the field, and 3-6 from the three point line, while Moore shot 3-11 from the field and 9-10. Moore and Samuel once again led the Belles defense with Moore grabbing five defensive rebounds out of six total rebounds, while Samuel grabbed six total rebounds with three offensive and defensive rebounds.
 
Players to Watch:
De'Anira Moore continues to be one of the Belles dominating offensive forces in the paint, scoring 41 points over the weekend. Moore shot 15-23 from the field, shooting 65%. Moore also shot 11-19 from the free throw line, shooting 59% from the line. Moore registered 16 total rebounds, seven on offense and 11 on defense, while also grabbing two assists, six blocks, and one steal.
 
Asia Davis has become one of ASU's main offensive scorers over the last several weekends, scoring 21 points this weekend. Davis shot 6-17 from the field, shooting 35% from within the three point line, along with 1-2 from the three point line, shooting 50% from beyond the line. Davis also shot 8-8 from the free throw line, shooting 100% from the line. Davis also registered one assist and one defensive rebound.
 
Sawyer Lloyd continues to be one of the main offensive powers for the Belles, scoring 22 points over the weekend. Lloyd shot 7-18 from the field, shooting 39% from within the three point line, along with 3-12 from the three point line, shooting 35% from beyond the line. Lloyd shot 5-6 from the free throw line, shooting 83% from the line. Lloyd also registered eight assists and two steals, alongside 10 total rebounds, three offensive and seven defensive.

The Belles take to the road as they travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma Christian Eagles on Thursday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m. The Belles then travel to Fort Smith, Arkansas to face off against the Arkansas Fort-Smith Lions on Saturday, February 15 at 2 p.m.
