Hall of Honor
Collins paved the way for women’s basketball at Angelo State, helping the Rambelles to their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1994. After leading the team with a 25.3 scoring average, she garnered the team’s first Lone Star Conference Player of the Year honor as ASU defeated Abilene Christian 79-69 to earn its first conference championship. Collins was also named a Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association First-Team All-American that season. She finished her career with the highest scoring average at 25.5 points per game, a record she still holds. She also ranks seventh in career points with 1,349, fifth in three-pointers made with 132, and seventh in career assists with 261.
